Ms. Berg-James's practice focus is general civil litigation, labor and employment matters, personal injury/property damage, and construction law.
 
Services to Clients
Ms. Berg-James represents clients in state & federal courts as well as before administrative agencies. She has tried five jury trials and successfully resolved a number of actions.  2022 is the fourth year she has been named to the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, which recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state.

Community Service Activities
Ms. Berg-James currently serves on the Board of My Museum, the children's museum in Monterey.  She was President of the Monterey County Women Lawyers Association in 2019 and is now a Board member.  She served on the Boards of IMPOWER from 2018 to 2020, and the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce from 2017 to 2018.
 
Other Experience Highlights
Prior to joining Noland Hamerly Etienne & Hoss, Ms. Berg-James practiced law at Schiff Hardin in San Francisco.  Prior to her legal career, she participated in the Teach for America program, in which she taught at an under-resourced public school in California for two years.
