Paralegal – Trusts & Estates

Monterey County’s leading AV rated law firm seeks Paralegal with 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Trusts & Estates law. An ideal candidate must have strong organizational and writing skills; must also possess strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. This position would provide support to attorneys in the Trusts & Estates practice group in our Salinas office.

Must be familiar with legal format Court rules and procedures; E-filing and E-service programs; Case preparation, file management; Microsoft Outlook, Word and Timekeeping software; Lexis Nexis or similar database search. Competitive salary and benefits. Full-time, $40 to $50 per hour.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), document management systems, and Adobe
  • Strong communication skills, including proofreading and editing
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Preferences:

  • Experience in estate planning or in a law firm
  • Spanish fluency

Schedule: 8 hour shift, 40 hours per week expected
