Presented with Distinguished Professor Award at 2025 Graduation Ceremony

Ms. Ascher began teaching at the law school in 2006 and has continued every year, while serving clients in her busy estate planning practice. Now retiring from MCL, her dedication and contributions were recognized at the school’s June 1 ceremony.
In addition to legal practice and teaching, Ms. Ascher often speaks on estate-related topics to the general public and other professionals. In 2011 she was elected to the California Trusts & Estates Executive Committee (TEXCOM), which advises the California Legislature on matters pertaining to trusts and estates, among other things, and served as its chair from 2018 to 2019. She is also the only attorney in Monterey County who has been accepted as a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Council (ACTEC).
