About Anne

Practice

Anne Olsen enjoys working with her clients to resolve their issues and disputes in a manner that works for them in the present and in the future. She represents individuals, businesses, non-profit corporations and public entities in litigation issues and employment disputes. She has a uniquely broad background working in the Central California for a wide variety of businesses. She represents management employers in labor negotiations with unions and in their defenses in claims filed in court or with governmental agencies such as EEOC, CRD, NLRB, ALRB, PERB and OSHA. She likes taking complex issues and breaking them down to their basic elements so her clients can comprehend their risks and determine the best steps forward.

Background

Anne grew up on an artichoke ranch outside of Castroville first planted by her immigrant grandparents 100 years ago. As a result she has a great appreciation for the beauty of the agricultural area and the complex problems it faces in the future.

After graduating from UC Santa Barbara Magna Cum Laude in Economics, she took a gap year to work before entering UC Davis Law School where she graduated in 1981. She came back to Salinas as a lawyer to start her career.

Anne has been involved with  Elkhorn Slough Foundation since its inception and is very proud of its success and involvement with the local growers and community. She has been a past board member of the SPCA of Monterey County and is a member and past president of Salinas Steinbeck Rotary Club.

She is excessively proud of the accomplishments of her two daughters and is an avid hiker of the local mountains and treasures the beauty of where she lives.
