Mr. Pearson focuses his practice on the resolution of complex business, trusts, construction and real estate disputes. He has also had extensive experience in negotiating complex business and real estate transactions and representing non-profit organizations. Mr. Pearson holds the highest rating, "AV", from Martindale-Hubbell.
Services to Clients
Mr. Pearson has represented clients in complex family business dissolutions and restructurings, trust and estate, real and personal property, and secured transactional disputes; and has represented banks and other financial institutions in lender’s liability and restructuring matters as well as enforcing creditors' rights. Mr. Pearson has litigated in both state and federal court and has extensive experience in the mediation and arbitration of disputes. In addition, Mr. Pearson represents several large local non-profit enterprises in their business and development matters, and he assists them in resolving disputes focusing on the special needs and concerns of non-profit organizations, including the enforcement of their rights in trusts, wills and bequests.

In addition, Mr. Pearson has previously served on the boards of directors of the California Young Lawyers Association, the Monterey College of Law, Monterey County Bar Foundation, Legal Services for Seniors, the Carmel Bach Festival, and the Carmel Public Library Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of California State Club Association, and advises the Boards of Legal Services for Seniors and Carmel Sunset Center. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real. Mr. Pearson was presented with the 2014 Chief Justice Phil Sheridan Gibson Award by the Monterey County Bar Association for his exemplary community service, high level of professionalism, civility and ethical conduct.
