Since 1985 Ms. Ascher’s practice has focused on drafting estate plans and advising trustees and executors on trust administration and probate matters. She holds the highest rating "AV" from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named to the Thomson Reuters NorCal Super Lawyers list every year since 2010. She is certified as a specialist in probate, estate planning and trust law by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization, and has a Master's Degree in Taxation.

Other Experience Highlights
Ms. Ascher is an instructor of wills and trusts at the Monterey College of Law and often speaks on estate-related topics to the general public and other professionals. She has been a presenter for Continuing Education for the Bar (CEB) in the Monterey and Santa Clara County areas and continues to speak for many local community organizations, including Parent’s Place and Interim. In 2011 she was elected to the California Trusts & Estates Executive Committee (TEXCOM), which advises the California Legislature, and served as its chair from 2018 to 2019. In 2013, Ms. Ascher was admitted to the American College of Estate and Trust Counsel (ACTEC), a highly selective peer-elected association of attorneys who make significant contributions to the profession by publishing, teaching, and/or working on legislation. She is the only ACTEC fellow among practicing attorneys in Monterey County.
Community Service Activities
Ms. Ascher was a founding leader in establishing MY Museum, Monterey County’s children’s museum. In addition to MY Museum, she has been on the Board of Congregation Beth Israel, the Monterey County Alzheimer’s Association (a founding board member), Junior League of Monterey, and PTA President of Monte Vista School. She has also been active with York School, Dance Kids and Legal Services for Seniors.
